Ride to Work Kicked ASS!

Unfortunately, living in the city and riding a motorcycle leaves alot to be desired. The roads are typically straight with very little curving. This is the same when I ride to work everyday. There is however, on mile number 24 of 25, a stretch of road right off the freeway off ramp that makes my drive all worth it.
Once I come to a stop at the top of the off ramp I turn right. I pick up as much speed as I can and dip in right. I hold this large sweeping turn until the road straightens for a hundred feet, shift my body weight and flick the bike to the left for a quick 45 degree turn. At this point my speed is approximately 60 MPH. I twist the throttle and shoot to 80 when I come to my favorite turn. It's a 90 degree left hander with good pavement and I can see through it to the end. I usually scrub off speed down to 40 MPH but have been practicing this week and today I hit it perfect. I slowed to 50, set my body on the left of the bike and before I got to the turn I sped up a little more. I leaned into the turn and took the bike down lower than I ever have. Easy on the throttle so as not to create wheel spin and lowside into the brush. My only thoughts at this point were of keeping the bike smooth and easy through the rest of this turn. My body was one with the bike and she would do what I will it to. I looked through the turn and the bike kept true.
We made it. I pulled the bike up straight and looked at my speed as I completely exited the corner. I had hit 60 MPH through this 25 MPH turn. I was ecstatic and let out a yelp of joy and accomplishment. I had done it. What a rush that made me feel. Damn I love riding. Can't wait for Tuesday to come around so I can do it again.

I hate to break it to you babe, but you're not invisible. It's a good thing your wife didn't read this, you know what a Paranoid Patty she is.

You journey to work sounds way more exciting than my daily slog on the london underground!
